A. What is a Database?

- What is it? Well a database is an organized collection of structured information, or data that are usually stored within a computer system, they also manage the retrieval, modification and deletion of a data in conjunction with various data-processing operations.



B. What type of software is Microsoft Excel?

- Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet program, it allows users to organize, format and calculate data with formulas using a spreadsheet system. This spreadsheet provides charts and graphs for data visualization, and the spreadsheet's limit can reach over 1,048,576 rows and 16,384 columns, it's that massive!





C. What type of software is Microsoft Office Access?

- The Office Access is a database management system (DBMS) used to store and manage data, this software is perfectly made for business and enterprise users.


D. Think of atleast two differences between Access and Excel

- Firstly, in terms of data storing capacity, Excel stores less than Access since Access is a a database management system whilst Excel is mainly used for creating and organizing data.

- Second, Excel is used mostly by financial and statistical analysts and is simple and easy to use, meanwhile Access is used by small business owners and companies and is more complex to use than Excel.
